In an architecture review where two constraints collide, you can feel two risks at once: acting too early and acting too late. The team needs a boundary more than it needs reassurance.

Indecision is rarely neutral. It shifts the decision to the calendar, to the loudest stakeholder, or to the person who is least able to say no. The team feels motion, but nobody owns the boundary. If the exception path is informal, it becomes politics; write the signal that makes an exception legitimate and who can approve it.

Surface the assumption the plan depends on and name the first signal that would prove it wrong. That is how you keep pressure from rewriting the decision. Clarity reduces noise more than another meeting does.
